First Look: Microsoft Releases Office 2019 Preview

Microsoft has rolled out a preview of Office 2019 to business customers, and it looks promising.

The new release appears to be targeting businesses that aren’t already running an Office 365 subscription.

It consists of all the typical features found in Office 365 - including client apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access, Project, Visio and OneNote for Windows 10.

Server apps such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business are also available.

The goal is to help users "create amazing content in less time".

Updates include new and improved inking features across the apps, like the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects.

Microsoft Office 365 - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive

PowerPoint 2019 comes with the ability to manage icons, SVG, and 3D images, and more, while Word 2019 adds learning tools captions and audio descriptions, and other features.

With Excel 2019, Microsoft promises better data analysis and with Outlook 2019, users can "manage email more efficiently."

The full version of Office 2019 is expected to be released later this year.
