EE Now Lets You Use the Same Number Across Multiple Devices

One number, no matter the device. A certain leading mobile network provider is on a mission to simplify the way you manage your devices... and at no extra cost!

EE has this week announced the release of new 'smart number' technology that lets you use the same number across multiple devices.

So in short, this means you can make and receive calls across your tablets, smartwatches and laptops using the same phone number – even if you don't have your phone with you.

This can come in handy, especially if your phone is unavailable - such as if customer service has left you on hold during an important call - or if your battery runs out.

The new feature - that works through Wi-Fi calling - allows you to not only control, but also hand over calls between devices at the touch of a button.

One plus point is that all your devices do not have to be with EE, as long as your main phone is on EE's network, and the other devices are connected to the internet.

So far, the feature is available to customers with a monthly subscription plan across Apple devices. EE has, however, confirmed Android connectivity is on the way but there's no mention of Windows just yet.

iPhones need to run iOS 11.3 or later, iPads will need to be iOS 10+, with Macs and Watches requiring El Capitan and watchOS 2 respectively.
