We're doing our bit to help!
Jul 6, 2020
Key members of the Communicate Better family have stepped forward to offer support during the COVID-19 crisis.
We're proud to share that our team are doing their bit to help those in need during such challenging times.
They have taken on the role of 'NHS Volunteer Responders' to help people stay well, provide comfort, and reduce avoidable demand on NHS services.
Voluntary tasks can include (but are not limited to): collecting and delivering shopping, medication or other essential supplies, providing transport to those who need it, and even providing telephone support to individuals who are at risk of loneliness.
"I wanted to play my part", said Scott Currie, Finance Director, Communicate Better.
"I have friends in the medical profession who I know are working tirelessly to keep everyone safe, and so it felt right for me to get involved.
"I have had some heart-warming conversations over the phone.
"I spoke to an elderly lady from Coventry, who has been self-isolating for 3 months.
"We spoke for over 20 minutes about everyday life and how she's getting on. It was nice."
