App of the Week: 'Staywalk'

Picture the scene - Rocky theme music plays as you enter the office every morning... Become an action hero by setting the mood with this week's 'App Of The Week', it's a real corker.

That's right, I'm back with a shiny, new, must-have app for your device. This week, I've opted for something a little different that may just help keep spirits alive on a miserable Monday morning.

It's time to get your hands on...

Staywalk (Free: iOS)

Can you recall that episode of Family Guy where Peter had his very own backing music? Now this can be you, except you don't have to annoy those around you whilst doing so.

Staywalk is a fun 'adaptive music platform' that alters the tunes you're listening to depending on the intensity of your motion - be it running, walking, sitting in a car, and so on. The faster you are, the more intense the music.

Plus, unlike apps such as Spotify that also offer running playlists, the Staywalk tool uses original music. And the best bit? It works offline too, meaning you don't have to rely on a good connection either - making it perfect at saving you data.

Take note that this is not a fitness app, per se, but it's really great fun. You can even go a step further and save tracks for your own personal use, but at a 79p charge (so worth it)...
