An Eggcellent Treat for Bolton's Young People

One thing we're most definitely guilty of, here at Communicate Better, is having a sweet tooth. And that's why we're feeling egg-stra egg-cited for Easter this weekend.

But we're not yolking around!

Instead of just waiting for Fry-day to get here already, we hatched up a plan to share our love for chocolate with the egg-straordinary young people who are part of the Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme.

The BYPHS - running since 1992 - sets out to prevent homelessness among 16–25 year olds, and offers the safety, stability and developmental skills young people need before they head out into the big wide world.

And because they do such a terrific job, Communicate Better's IT Director Mike Standring decided to pay them a little visit, with some treats in his basket.

Commenting on the Easter surprise, BYPHS' Operational Manager Dee Gilmore said: "I just want to say a huge thank you to Communicate Better who recently donated 100 Easter Eggs to the young people who are currently accommodated at Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme.

"We work with 100 young people aged 16-25 by providing them with accommodation and support in order to empower them so that they are able to live independently in the community. The young people are often on tight budgets and don’t have enough money to purchase daily essentials that the majority of people take for granted let alone an Easter treat."

She added: "Many of our young people are estranged from their families and so are not in a position to receive treats from or spend time with their family at Easter, which is why it is such a fantastic gesture that Communicate Better have contacted us to donate and deliver the eggs.

"It’s great that Communicate Better have decided to support the homeless community and this is something I know the young people and the staff at BYPHS will really appreciate.

"Thanks again to Mike Standring and the team at Communicate Better.”
