There's a rather large sum to pay, if you want to get your hands on Apple's latest release... but the £1,000 iPhone X is not for everyone, and Apple make that very clear.

As part of this week's annual event, the tech giants went all out in showcasing their highly anticipated 10th anniversary/birthday model.

Face recognition is just the beginning. Unlock your phone, pay for Store purchases, 'Animoji' yourself (which is essentially, the inevitable marriage of emojis and Snapchat tech), and finally, FINALLY step into the world of augmented reality.

The introduction of 3D imagery software means your iPhone is more secure than ever before.

Apple has gone as far as to say the new tech can't be fooled even by a professionally made mask of your face - trumping the traditional fingerprint-lock method.

The iPhone X - priced between £999 (64GB) and £1,149 (256GB) will be available in space grey and silver. The device is available to pre-order from October 27 and will ship on November 3.
